The University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture is seeking a Post‑Doctoral Research Associate to join Dr Samira Feyzi’s Analytical Protein Chemistry program. The successful candidate will conduct cutting‑edge research on plant and dairy proteins, developing methods that advance food‑system applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, execute, and optimize protein extraction, purification, and fractionation protocols.
• Develop and validate instrumental methods using HPLC, UPLC, GC/MS, and GC/MS‑O.
• Perform proteomic analyses to characterize protein structure and functionality.
• Investigate protein binding properties, modifications, and their impact on food matrices.
• Analyze data, prepare scientific reports, and contribute to peer‑reviewed publications.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Food Chemistry, Protein Science, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in protein extraction, purification, and analytical method development.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and capacity for independent decision‑making.

Required skills

• Chromatography techniques (HPLC, UPLC, GC/MS, GC/MS‑O).
• Proteomics workflows and data interpretation.
