Portfolio Manager, VP – CIB Lending (US)

About the role

The SCIB Portfolio Manager is a Vice President position within Santander's US SCIB COO Lending Solutions. The role oversees portfolio management, credit monitoring and administration across a range of lending activities, including infrastructure, structured, leveraged and investment‑grade corporate finance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, coordinate and review quarterly and annual credit reviews for assigned portfolios, covering financial performance, rating considerations and covenant compliance.
• Perform credit spreading, financial and variance analysis, and assess leverage and liquidity metrics.
• Monitor financial and non‑financial covenants, collateral deliverables, insurance requirements and other ongoing obligations.
• Track exceptions, waivers, collateral shortfalls and covenant breaches, and coordinate remediation.
• Support amendments, waivers, extensions, repricings and restructurings through credit analysis and approval coordination.
• Produce portfolio reporting, risk escalation and lifecycle coordination with Front Office, Credit, Agency, Operations and Transaction Management teams.

Required profile

• Senior professional with Vice President‑level experience in credit portfolio management.
• Strong background across Infrastructure Finance, Structured Finance, Leveraged Finance, Investment‑Grade corporate lending and GTB‑linked exposures.
• Proven ability to conduct thorough credit reviews, spread credit, and monitor covenants and collateral.
• Excellent coordination skills with cross‑functional teams.
