About the role

The Plumbing Field Instructor delivers classroom and hands‑on training to employees and workforce‑development participants, focusing on plumbing fundamentals, safety, code compliance, and career advancement. The role blends technical instruction with mentorship to ensure trainees acquire the skills needed for successful field work.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct classroom, laboratory, and on‑site instruction for plumbing training programs.
• Teach installation methods, safety procedures, plumbing codes, and industry best practices.
• Develop and maintain lesson plans, instructional materials, and practical exercises.
• Assess trainee performance through tests, demonstrations, and hands‑on evaluations.
• Provide coaching, mentorship, and technical support to trainees.
• Maintain training equipment and ensure a safe, organized learning environment.
• Coordinate with operations leadership to align training objectives with workforce needs.
• Track attendance, certifications, and program completion records.

Required profile

• Minimum 4–6 years of experience in plumbing installation, maintenance, or training.
• Relevant industry certifications or licenses where required.
• Strong knowledge of workplace safety standards and licensing requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and instructional technology tools.
