Platform Engineer (US Citizens & GC Candidates)

About the role

The Bank’s Enterprise Modernization IT Observability and Monitoring Team is seeking a Platform Engineer to design, implement and support monitoring solutions for a wide range of digital applications, including Internet and Mobile Banking, ACE, FNA, IVR, and Open Consumer. This onsite role in Cincinnati focuses on enhancing resiliency, availability, and performance across active‑active hosting environments.

Key responsibilities

• Establish monitoring strategies, create monitors and dashboards using synthetic transactions and heat maps.
• Gather and analyze capacity, availability and performance data to drive resiliency improvements.
• Provide Level 2 support, collaborating with Level 1, Dev/Agile and Infrastructure teams.
• Make technical and architectural recommendations to increase hosting environment reliability.

Required profile

• 8‑10 years of experience in application support, incident management, performance monitoring and capacity planning.
• Strong expertise with Dynatrace and Splunk for alerting, dashboards and problem analysis.
• Experience supporting web servers (IHS/Apache) and application servers (WebSphere/Tomcat) on AIX or Linux.
• Proficiency in scripting/automation (Python, Jython, Unix shell) and familiarity with GitHub or Jenkins.
