Platform Engineer (Hybrid)

About the role

Exiger, an AI partner for supply chain and procurement automation, is hiring a Platform Engineer in Jersey City on a hybrid schedule. The engineer owns and evolves key parts of the platform, including CI/CD, infrastructure as code, Kubernetes, secrets and identity, observability and automated compliance controls. U.S. citizenship is required.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build reusable platform components such as Terraform modules, Helm charts and pipeline templates with reliable interfaces.
• Operate production Amazon EKS and multi-account AWS environments, including networking, identity and secrets management.
• Turn FedRAMP, NIST 800-53 and SOC 2 requirements into automated technical controls and auditable systems.
• Extend platform capabilities into AWS GovCloud for federal workloads.
• Build observability and reliability practices that make production behavior visible, measurable and recoverable.
• Work with product engineering teams to remove day-to-day development and operational friction.
• Take part in on-call rotations, lead incident response and drive durable fixes.

Required profile

• Strong production experience with AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes and CI/CD.
• Track record of solving complex or poorly defined problems through investigation and evidence.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to explain technical tradeoffs to engineers, security teams and product leaders.
• Experience driving adoption of platform capabilities across teams you do not directly manage.
• Hands-on experience implementing cloud security and compliance controls.
• Experience developing tooling and automation with Python or Go.
• U.S. citizenship, required for access to FedRAMP federal environments.
