Plant Human Resources Generalist

About the role

The Plant Human Resources Generalist supports all HR functions at a manufacturing site, handling recruitment, onboarding, benefits, timekeeping, and employee relations. This role ensures smooth HR operations and contributes to a safe, engaged workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle recruitment for plant positions, including posting, sourcing, interviewing, and coordinating pre‑employment testing.
• Organize and deliver new‑employee orientation, onboarding, and site‑specific training programs.
• Administer site timekeeping and assist with compensation program implementation.
• Communicate benefits information and respond to employee inquiries.
• Investigate employee complaints, provide guidance, and maintain confidential employee records.
• Represent the employer at community and recruiting events.
• Support site safety initiatives and workers‑compensation claims.
• Coordinate employee events such as picnics and holiday celebrations.
• Assist with HR policy development and special projects.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of HR experience or a related degree.
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Professional demeanor with a commitment to confidentiality.
• Willingness to travel as needed and maintain reliable attendance.
