Plant Engineering Manager – Manufacturing Operations

About the role

3M is seeking a Plant Engineering Manager to lead engineering, utilities and facilities functions at its Guin, AL site. The role offers the chance to work with global teams, drive continuous improvement and ensure safe, reliable plant operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Plant Engineering, Utilities and Facilities to meet safety, quality and production continuity standards.
• Drive continuous‑improvement projects, evaluate alternative technologies and implement best practices.
• Manage capital and expense budgets, resource allocation and workforce planning.
• Oversee installation, commissioning and maintenance of production and utility equipment.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Process Engineering, HSE, Materials, Warehousing and Lean/CI teams to resolve issues and boost efficiency.
• Provide technical guidance and training on critical Plant Engineering KPIs.
• Implement and maintain a Reliability Framework and Asset Management System.
• Manage contracts and vendor relationships for engineering and maintenance services.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field.
• At least seven years of manufacturing experience.
• Minimum five years of supervisory or management experience.
