About the role

The Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery is hiring a Physician Specialist, Option B, for the Elizabeth Packard Mental Health Center in Springfield, Illinois. The physician serves as primary care provider on a secure forensic unit and provides medical care and treatment to patients and employees of the facility.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as primary care physician for the Elizabeth Packard Mental Health Center on a secure forensic unit.
• Provide medical care and treatment to patients and employees of the facility.
• Provide consultation to the psychiatrists.
• Participate actively on medical staff committees.
• Evaluate and treat injured employees.

Required profile

• Special license to practice medicine in Illinois, Internal Medicine.
• Bilingual skills are welcome; bilingual option is not listed.
