Physician Liaison – Healthcare Business Development

About the role

Our client, a growing specialty healthcare organization in Atlanta, is seeking a driven Physician Liaison to expand its physician referral network and support continued growth. This field‑based, sales‑driven position focuses on building relationships with primary care, specialty, and hospital‑based physicians.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, prospect, and develop new physician referral relationships throughout the Atlanta market.
• Conduct regular in‑person visits to practices, hospitals, and other healthcare organizations to educate providers on specialty services and referral processes.
• Develop and execute targeted outreach strategies, maintain a consistent pipeline, and track activity in the organization’s CRM.
• Manage an organized territory plan, maintain communication with existing and prospective referral sources, and adjust strategies based on performance data.
• Represent the organization at networking, professional, and community events to increase awareness of specialty services.

Required profile

• Previous experience calling on physicians or medical practices.
• Background in pharmaceutical sales, medical device sales, physician relations, or similar healthcare business development roles.
• Proven ability to prospect, develop new business, manage a territory, and follow up consistently.
• Self‑motivated, goal‑oriented, and comfortable working independently in the field.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel throughout the Atlanta market.
