Physician – Classical Hematology

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Classical Hematologist to join its MD Anderson Cancer Center partnership. The position offers teaching opportunities, minimal after‑hours call, and a hybrid practice model with virtual consults.

Key responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient classical hematology care, supported by virtual eConsults.
• Participate in teaching fellows and residents, and contribute to clinical research.
• Collaborate with a dedicated advanced practitioner team and a multidisciplinary Hematology fellowship program.

Required profile

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology.
• Commitment to academic pathways, education, and research.
• Willingness to work within a collaborative, multi‑specialty environment.

Required skills

• Clinical expertise in classical hematology.
• Ability to engage in teaching and mentorship.
• Experience with research and academic activities.
