Physician Assistant Lecturer (Part-time)

About the role

The University of Maryland Eastern Shore seeks a part‑time Physician Assistant Lecturer to join its Master of Physician Assistant Studies program. This non‑tenure‑track position reports to the Program Director and supports both didactic and clinical education.

Key responsibilities

• Teach assigned didactic and/or clinical courses within the PA curriculum.
• Develop and revise course materials, including syllabi, PowerPoint presentations, and exam questions.
• Assess student performance in classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings.
• Provide student advising, mentorship, and academic remediation as needed.
• Participate in continuous evaluation of course delivery and instructional effectiveness.
• Conduct site visits for clinical rotations and maintain preceptor relationships (clinical faculty only).
• Ensure compliance with ARC‑PA accreditation standards.
• Perform additional duties assigned by the Program Director.

Required profile

• Master’s degree from an ARC‑PA accredited program.
• Either a board‑certified Doctor of Medicine/D.O. with an unrestricted Maryland license (or eligibility) OR a non‑clinician scientist/health professional with a doctoral degree in a health‑related field.
