Phlebotomy Technician – Neuro Expansion (3:00 am – 7:00 am)

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Health System is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician to support the Neuro Expansion unit during the early‑morning shift. The role involves performing blood and specimen collection, processing, and transport for all patient groups while delivering courteous service.

Key responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and other blood collection procedures, verify orders and patient identification.
• Label specimens, accession, centrifuge, package, and deliver samples to the appropriate processing areas.
• Maintain accurate log sheets, track specimen transport, and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
• Greet patients professionally, enter test requests, and provide clear communication to staff.
• Assist with the delivery of blood, other sample types, and laboratory supplies throughout the facility.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED; formal phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Ability to work in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods, walk frequently, and manipulate phlebotomy equipment.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and teamwork orientation.
