About the role

The Phlebotomy Technician joins the Medical Laboratory team at Medina Hospital, a Cleveland Clinic Health System facility recognized for patient‑centered care and quality leadership. You will collect blood and other specimens, ensuring accurate labeling and timely delivery to support patient diagnosis and treatment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform blood collection and venipuncture procedures, maintaining proper log sheets.
• Verify orders, label specimens, and deliver them to the appropriate processing area.
• Process specimens including accessioning, centrifugation, and packaging.
• Transport blood, other sample types, and laboratory supplies as needed.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Technical proficiency with standard phlebotomy procedures and equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems in a team environment.

• Specimen processing, including centrifugation and labeling.
