Pharmacy Technician - Level 3

About the role

Meijer is hiring a Level 3 pharmacy technician in its pharmacy on Barton Road in Lexington. The role works in an environment that promotes patient care, requires friendly customer service, and involves dispensing prescriptions and supporting pharmacy operations.

Key responsibilities

• Interact with patients at various service points and promote pharmacy initiatives and clinical services
• Input customer and prescription information into the pharmacy dispensing system
• Create prescription labels and adjudicate insurance claims
• Retrieve medications from inventory and stock prescription medication
• Complete paperwork for filling prescriptions and receiving drug orders
• Order prescription medication for the Pharmacy Department
• Maintain a clean, orderly pharmacy and keep patient information confidential
• Perform CLIA-waived tests as part of the Meijer Health Screening Program and provide immunizations to patients

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED
• Registered and/or licensed in the state of practice, or complete Meijer employer-based training if licensure is not required
• Completion of Meijer Retrobill training to comply with third-party processes
• Excellent customer service skills, positive attitude and teamwork
• Ability to prioritize workload and maintain attendance
