Pharmacy Technician - Level 1

About the role

Meijer is hiring a Level 1 Pharmacy Technician in its pharmacy on Barton Road in Lexington. The position must practice pharmacy in an environment that promotes patient care, and the person must be friendly and provide excellent customer service to support patients' health.

Key responsibilities

• Retrieve the right medications from inventory
• Enter customer and prescription information into the pharmacy dispensing system
• Create prescription labels and adjudicate insurance claims
• Complete paperwork for filling prescriptions and receiving drug orders
• Order prescription medication for the Pharmacy Department and stock it
• Promote pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to customers
• Prioritize workload, keep the pharmacy clean and orderly, and maintain patient confidentiality

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED
• Retail or community practice experience
• Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude
• Professional appearance
