Pharmacy Technician IV - Part Time, Days and Evenings

About the role

AdventHealth is hiring a part-time Pharmacy Technician IV for its Lenexa City Center pharmacy in Kansas. The role covers expert-level pharmacy technician duties across core and advanced workflows, with two 10-hour shifts per week (mix of days and evenings, some weekends), totaling 20 hours. The pay range is $20.30 to $32.47.

Key responsibilities

• Lead enterprise-level inventory operations, including procurement, formulary alignment and perpetual inventory accuracy
• Oversee controlled substance programs, diversion prevention and compliance with DEA and institutional policies
• Run advanced audits and operations reviews on inventory integrity, cost containment, medication shortages and supply chain resilience
• Lead medication safety initiatives, risk mitigation, error prevention and safety education
• Facilitate root cause analysis and continuous improvement, and act as a pharmacy safety champion advising leadership
• Maintain proficiency in hazardous and sterile compounding, controlled substance management and regulatory compliance
• Mentor staff, support training programs and collaborate with pharmacists, clinical teams and leadership

Required profile

• High school graduate or equivalent (required); associate degree preferred
• 2+ years of contemporary hospital pharmacy experience (required)
• Completion of a pharmacy technician training program preferred
• Active state pharmacy technician registration and Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) certification in the applicable jurisdiction (required)
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification (required)
