Pharmacy Technician - Inpatient, Part Time

About the role

The Pharmacy Technician will serve as the pharmacy presence at Coral Springs FHC Surgery Center, supporting surgical operations in a setting without a traditional inpatient or outpatient pharmacy onsite. This part‑time role works evenings, providing medication and supply support to ensure safe and efficient patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and manage medication deliveries, maintain the pharmacy storeroom, and perform inventory audits.
• Restock, troubleshoot, and operate Pyxis medication dispensing cabinets to ensure medication availability for surgical procedures.
• Prepare medications through selecting, labeling, repacking, non‑sterile and sterile compounding.
• Use information systems and automation tools to complete tasks and document regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED and licensed in Florida as a Registered Pharmacy Technician.
• Ability to communicate effectively with caregivers and patients, and demonstrate emotional control in work relationships.
• Basic computer skills and ability to perform algebraic calculations for compound preparation.

Required skills

• Inventory management and cycle counts.
• Operation of Pyxis automation systems.
• Non‑sterile and sterile compounding techniques.
• Basic computer proficiency.
