About the role
The University of Miami Health System is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Technician to work in the UHealth Tower pharmacy. The technician will prepare medications under a pharmacist’s guidance and support daily dispensing operations.
Key responsibilities
- Collect, input, and verify prescription, refill, and patient information while maintaining records.
- Assist pharmacists in filling orders, preparing labels for unit doses and pre‑packaged pharmaceuticals.
- Receive and stock incoming medical supplies and drugs.
- Refer provider calls and medication questions to the pharmacist.
- Participate in orientation and training programs to achieve competency.
- Stay current with pharmacy law, regulations, informatics, and medication dispensing systems.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum one year of pharmacy‑technician experience.
- Active State of Florida Pharmacy Technician registration.
Required skills
- Use of medication dispensing systems.
- Basic pharmacy calculations.
