Pharmacy Manager - New St. Louis Metro Store

About the role

Meijer is preparing to open its newest supercenter in Glen Carbon/Edwardsville, Illinois, serving the greater St. Louis metro area in spring 2027. It is looking for an engaged Pharmacy Team Leader to help launch the new store. The Pharmacy Team Leader plans, directs and supervises day-to-day pharmacy operations.

Key responsibilities

• Staffing selection and hiring to meet staffing needs
• Preparing and conducting performance reviews of pharmacists and technicians, and documenting disciplinary actions
• Filling prescriptions safely and accurately
• Implementing pharmacy programs covering financial results, clinical services, labor, inventory, stock loss, security, patient services and profitability
• Educating and mentoring pharmacists and technicians, motivating the team and holding members accountable for results
• Providing clinical services such as immunizations where permitted
• Ensuring adherence to corporate policies and federal and state legal requirements

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy
• Registered pharmacist in the state of practice
• Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana)
• CPR certification
• 3 years of experience in retail or community practice
• One year of management experience preferred
• Successful completion of all required certifications

Required skills

• Knowledge of Meijer policies and procedures and of state and federal laws
• Working knowledge of pharmacy systems and understanding of state regulations
• Strong leadership, communication and prioritization skills
