Pharmacy Manager

About the role

Meijer is looking for a Pharmacy Manager for its Michigan City, Indiana store. The pharmacist plans, directs and supervises the day-to-day pharmacy operations, shapes pharmacy operations and contributes to patient care. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates, and the position is eligible for a quarterly incentive package of up to 10%.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, direct and supervise pharmacy operations, including technician hiring, prescription filling, scheduling and team building
• Prepare and conduct performance reviews of pharmacists and technicians and document disciplinary actions
• Fill prescriptions safely and accurately
• Implement pharmacy programs covering financial results, clinical services, labor, inventory, stock loss, security, patient services and profitability
• Educate and mentor pharmacists and technicians and hold them accountable for results
• Perform and oversee clinical services such as immunizations where allowed
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies and federal and state laws

Required profile

• Licensed pharmacist in the State of Indiana
• Bachelor's degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy
• Registered pharmacist in the state of practice
• Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana)
• CPR certification
• 3 years of experience in retail or community practice
• One year of management experience preferred

Required skills

• Working knowledge of pharmacy systems and policies and procedures
• Understanding of regulations in the state where the pharmacy operates
• Strong leadership, communication and prioritisation skills
