Pharmacy Manager – Full‑time

About the role

The Pharmacy Manager leads the pharmacy services at the University of Miami Health System, overseeing both distributive and clinical functions across all patient care areas. Reporting to the Executive Director of Pharmacy Services, the role ensures compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and best practice guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Direct daily pharmacy operations, including medication distribution, clinical services, and staff supervision.
• Develop and implement departmental goals, standards of care, and resource utilization plans aligned with the organization’s strategic objectives.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives, medication safety programs, and compliance with federal, state, and accrediting body regulations.
• Foster interdisciplinary collaboration with physicians, nursing staff, and administration to optimize patient care.

Required profile

• Valid Florida Pharmacist license (PharmD required).
• Minimum three years of pharmacy management experience in a progressive hospital setting.
• Strong organizational, computer, and management abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interaction with faculty and staff.
