Pharmacy Instructor

About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking a Pharmacy Instructor to teach pharmacy assistant courses in a classroom, lab, and field environment. This position supports the Technical College System of Georgia and aligns with industry standards and accreditation requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans, curricula, syllabi, and instructional materials for credited technical/occupational courses.
• Teach pharmacy technology and pharmacy assistant courses, ensuring alignment with current industry trends.
• Evaluate student progress, maintain documentation, and produce administrative reports.
• Participate in program administration, accreditation processes, budget planning, and committee service.
• Engage in recruitment, retention, and job placement activities, and collaborate with students, staff, and educators.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.
• Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician and/or State of Georgia Pharmacy Technician Certification.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with a diverse student population.
