Data Center Critical Environments Instructor

About the role

Join West Georgia Technical College as a Data Center Critical Environments Instructor and deliver both theoretical and hands‑on training for students pursuing careers in data center operations. You will teach day, evening, and online classes for traditional and dual‑enrolled learners.

Key responsibilities

• Provide instruction in data center operations theory and practical lab work, following state academic standards.
• Teach face‑to‑face, hybrid, or fully online courses as required by faculty loads.
• Evaluate student progress, grade assignments promptly, and maintain accurate records.
• Maintain program accreditation requirements and keep curriculum aligned with industry trends.
• Participate in professional development, workshops, and conferences.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree in Data Center Operations or a related field (electrical systems, HVAC, mechatronics, engineering) or equivalent industry certifications.
• At least three (3) years of relevant experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree, post‑secondary teaching experience, and online teaching experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience using Blackboard, Banner, Degree Works, Task Stream, and Knowledge Management Systems.
• Ability to operate and demonstrate data‑center‑related equipment and technologies.
