Pharmacy Executive – Pharmacy Enterprise

About the role

The Pharmacy Executive will lead the development and optimization of alternate site infusion services across non‑acute hospital settings, including home infusion, ambulatory suites, shared services, and physician office‑based infusions. You will partner with health‑system leaders to create business plans, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive performance improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance on medication preparation and administration for infusion therapies.
• Collaborate with health‑system providers to design and optimize infusion service models.
• Develop and maintain compliance with USP standards and relevant regulations.
• Interpret and apply infusion accreditation standards such as ACHC and URAC.
• Assess and improve pharmacy operations, including workflow efficiency, inventory management, and staffing.
• Support implementation and optimization of infusion and pharmacy information systems.
• Identify quality metrics, recommend initiatives, and track performance outcomes.
• Develop growth strategies, referral sources, and action plans to expand the infusion pharmacy footprint.
• Partner with sales and marketing teams to pursue new business opportunities.

Required profile

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Pharmacy (BSPharm) degree.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in infusion pharmacy.
• Active pharmacist license in good standing in any US state.
• Experience in health‑system settings and alternate site care models.
• Advanced certifications (e.g., BCNSP, BCSCP) preferred.
• Willingness to travel to multiple care sites.

Required skills

• USP compliance and sterile compounding expertise.
• Knowledge of infusion accreditation standards (ACHC, URAC).
• Proficiency with pharmacy information systems and EMR platforms.
• Inventory management and workflow optimization.
• Understanding of pharmacokinetics and infusion therapies.
