Pharmacist - Sussex, WI

About the role

Meijer is hiring a Pharmacist for its Sussex, Wisconsin store location. The position is a float pharmacist role that can be filled full-time or part-time. As pharmacist, you ensure patients receive the medication and care they need, practicing in an environment that promotes patient care and education, including consultations and immunizations.

Key responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions safely and accurately.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, team members and leadership.
• Educate and mentor pharmacy technicians, hold them accountable for results and motivate them to perform at their best.
• Resolve patient needs through listening and good customer service.
• Perform and oversee clinical services, including immunizations, where allowed.
• In the absence of the pharmacist in charge, be responsible for pharmacy operations.
• Be competent in Meijer policies and procedures and state and federal laws.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy.
• Registered and licensed pharmacist in the state of practice (Wisconsin).
• Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana).
• Retail/community practice experience.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of pharmacy systems and policies and procedures.
• Understanding of regulations in the state where the unit operates.
• Effective communication and organization skills, with the ability to prioritize workload.
