Pharmacist - Manitowoc, WI

About the role

Meijer is hiring a pharmacist for its Manitowoc, WI store location, with both full-time and part-time opportunities available. The pharmacist plays a personal role in the community by ensuring patients receive the medication and care they need, practicing in an environment that promotes patient care and education, including consultations and immunizations. The position is sign-on and relocation eligible.

Key responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions safely and accurately.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, team members and leadership.
• Educate and mentor pharmacy technicians, hold them accountable for results and motivate them to perform at their best.
• Resolve patient needs and provide excellent customer service.
• Be competent in Meijer policies and procedures and in state and federal laws.
• In the absence of the pharmacist in charge, be responsible for pharmacy operations.
• Perform and oversee clinical services, including immunizations, where allowed.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy.
• Registered and licensed pharmacist in the state of Wisconsin.
• Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana).
• Retail/community practice experience.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of pharmacy systems and of policies and procedures.
• Understanding of regulations in the state where the pharmacy operates.
• Organization skills and the ability to prioritize workload.
