Pharmacist

About the role

The Pharmacist will lead daily pharmacy operations, ensuring safe and timely medication dispensing while supervising pharmacy technicians and per‑diem pharmacists. This position works closely with physicians, nurses, and case managers to provide optimal patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and dispense medications based on physician orders, ensuring correct dosage, route, and form.
• Review and interpret medication orders, verify labeling, and oversee order entry and charge processing.
• Manage pharmacy inventory, ordering, stocking, and distribution to maintain efficient operations.
• Supervise and train pharmacy technicians of varying experience levels.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal drug laws, pharmacy board regulations, and infection‑control protocols.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and collaborate with clinical staff at Mojave counseling.

Required profile

• Pharm.D. or Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from an accredited program.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of pharmacy legislation and best practices.

Required skills

• Knowledge of drug dosing, routes of administration, dosage forms, and drug interactions.
• Familiarity with pharmaceutical terminology, abbreviations, and symbols.
• Experience with pharmacy inventory management and regulatory compliance.
• Understanding of infection‑control protocols and safe medication handling.
