Pharmacist – Inpatient Pharmacy

About the role

Citizens Health is seeking a full‑time pharmacist to join its inpatient pharmacy team in Colby, Kansas. The role supports patient care in a 25‑bed critical access hospital and collaborates closely with medical staff.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare sterile and non‑sterile medication compounds in compliance with LSP 797/800 standards.
• Operate healthcare software systems, maintain patient charts, and ensure accurate record‑keeping.
• Respond to emergency situations calmly and maintain quality control standards.
• Provide support during rotating shift schedules and on‑call weeks.

Required profile

• Current Kansas pharmacist license with proof of NAPLEX and MPJE passage.
• Knowledge of hospital pharmaceuticals, Kansas pharmacy laws, and medical institution regulations.
• Ability to develop and maintain department quality‑assurance processes.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and the public.

Required skills

• Sterile compounding (LSP 797/800).
• Non‑sterile compounding of hazardous and non‑hazardous medications.
• Proficiency with healthcare software and electronic patient records.
