Pharmacist – Hospital Pharmacy

About the role

Join the pharmacy team at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee as a Pharmacist. You will use independent decision‑making and critical thinking to ensure medication therapy is safe, effective, and cost‑conscious while collaborating with clinicians and patients.

Key responsibilities

• Promote safe and effective medication use, evaluating therapy costs and benefits.
• Interact with the healthcare team and patients to proactively resolve medication therapy issues.
• Maintain patient care quality by adhering to the department’s quality improvement plan and Joint Commission/Medicare standards.
• Participate in rotating day, PM, and third shifts, including holidays and weekends.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. from an ACPE‑accredited school.
• Active Wisconsin pharmacist license (or eligibility within 6 months).
• Preferred: 1 year hospital pharmacy experience or 3 years other pharmacy experience.
• Preferred: Completion of an ASHP‑accredited PGY1 or specialty residency.
• Preferred: Membership in the Pharmacy Society of Wisconsin and/or ASHP.

Required skills

• Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
