Personnel Security Assistant

About the role

Connexus Hub is a professional services firm that works with Government Agencies and Fortune 500 customers. The team is seeking a Personnel Security Assistant to support the Department of Education’s security operations with strong customer service and relationship management.

Key responsibilities

• Enter applicant documentation into e-QIP for new, upgraded, or periodic reinvestigations, including fingerprints, legal notices, and credit checks.
• Review security questionnaires and supplemental documents for completeness and accuracy using e-QIP, NP2 portal, and CVS/PIPS.
• Process and respond to DCSA notices and coordinate with security staff.
• Provide weekly reporting metrics and maintain internal spreadsheets and case records.
• Prepare corrective feedback to applicants and ensure confidentiality of all work products.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years experience in personnel security.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to exercise independent technical and professional judgment.
• Commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
• Detail‑oriented, able to multitask and work collaboratively.
