Personal Trainer - Upper East Side

About the role

Equinox is hiring a full-time Personal Trainer for its Upper East Side club in New York. You will work under the guidance of two managers to build your own approach to programming, education, business and financial planning, while helping members maximize their personal and client performance.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain an active client base and manage an accurate schedule of appointments, meetings and open availability.
• Sell personal training programs to members and clients by phone, email and in person.
• Perform fitness assessments, guided workouts and other complimentary services, and coach personalized programs for in-person and virtual clients.
• Maintain knowledge of all club services, programs and products, and keep the fitness floor organized and safe during shifts.
• Attend continuing education classes and required one-on-one or team meetings with management.

Required profile

• Current Personal Training certification, or willingness to obtain one through the certification reimbursement program.
• Eligibility for a higher tier and pay rate based on previous experience and education (degree in the field).
• Current CPR/AED certification; certification opportunities are available for non-certified applicants.
• Ability to work in person during weekdays and weekends.
• Legal right to work in the United States.

• Pay of $40.50-$98.00 per session and $17.00 per hour for non-session work, with possible incentive bonuses.
