Personal Trainer - Tribeca

About the role

Equinox Tribeca is hiring a full-time Personal Trainer. You will work under the guidance of two managers to build an approach to programming, education, business and financial planning that maximizes both your own performance and that of your clients. The role combines client-facing service with business management.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain an active client base and manage an accurate schedule of appointments, meetings and open availability.
• Sell personal training programs to members and clients by phone, email and in person.
• Perform fitness assessments, guided workouts and other complimentary services, and coach personalized programs for in-person and virtual clients.
• Maintain knowledge of club services, programs and products, and keep the fitness floor organized and safe during shifts.
• Attend continuing education classes and required one-on-one or team meetings with management.

Required profile

• Current Personal Training certification, or willingness to obtain one through the certification reimbursement program.
• Eligibility for a higher tier and pay rate based on previous experience and education (degree in the field).
• Current CPR/AED certification; certification opportunities are available for non-certified applicants.
• Ability to work in person during weekdays and weekends.
• Legal right to work in the United States.
