Personal Trainer - Peninsula Clubs

About the role

Equinox is looking for energetic, creative and enthusiastic Personal Trainers to join its teams at the Peninsula clubs in San Mateo and Palo Alto. The role involves delivering personalized training, maintaining a client base and providing a high level of attention to members.

Key responsibilities

• Administer fitness evaluations (Equifits), orientations, stretching and personal training sessions
• Establish and maintain a personal training client base according to company standards
• Provide a high level of personalized attention to members
• Maintain knowledge of, and participate in, all club services, programs and products
• Update and maintain the Personal Training App
• Instruct and demonstrate proper use of equipment and exercise techniques, including operating equipment and moving weight up to 50 pounds
• Adjust and operate all fitness equipment
• Provide excellent customer service to current and potential members
• Attend personal training-related meetings and other duties as assigned

Required profile

• Nationally recognized Personal Training certification (preferred)
• CPR/AED certification
• 1-3 years of previous personal training experience (preferred)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Honesty, integrity, passion, ambition and knowledge of the fitness industry
• Strong time management, organizational and follow-up skills
• Reliable, professional, computer literate, energetic and friendly
• Able to stand, run, jump, squat, bend and reach, and lift up to 50 pounds

• Pay of $40.50-$72.50 per session and $18.60-$18.70 per hour for non-session work, plus possible incentive bonuses
