Performance Leader – Receiving Inspection – 1st Shift

About the role

The Receiving Inspection Performance Leader on the 1st shift is responsible for leading the Mechanical and Electronics inspection teams, ensuring safety, quality, delivery and cost objectives are met.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily inspection activities, provide real‑time coaching, and maintain a visible floor presence.
• Conduct Gemba walks to monitor core processes, safety, quality, 5S/FOD compliance and work‑in‑process management.
• Manage workforce planning – staffing, scheduling, cross‑training, recruiting and retention.
• Facilitate Tier 1 daily meetings and participate in Tier 2/3 issue escalation.
• Drive continuous improvement through Lean projects, VSIP, A3 problem‑solving and other initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of inspection/manufacturing experience, or Associate’s degree with 5 years.
• Previous supervision or team‑lead experience in an inspection environment.
• Understanding of inspection, manufacturing, and supporting functions such as Engineering, QA, and Logistics.

Required skills

• Inspection methodology and manufacturing practices.
• Lean leadership and continuous‑improvement tools.
