About the role
Moog is seeking a Business Analyst to support day‑to‑day operation and continuous improvement of enterprise applications across the business. This onsite position in Buffalo, NY offers early‑career professionals the chance to gain hands‑on experience in business systems, manufacturing processes, and ERP platforms.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze business processes and system workflows to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
- Document business requirements, process flows, work instructions, and system procedures.
- Provide first‑level support for assigned enterprise applications, investigating user questions and system issues.
- Participate in functional, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT) activities.
- Support backlog management by tracking enhancement requests, defects, and user feedback.
- Assist with incident resolution, root‑cause analysis, and coordination with technical teams.
- Support system upgrades, enhancements, data validation, cutover preparation, and post‑deployment activities.
Required profile
- 2+ years of experience in Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Application Support, IT Support, or related roles (internships/co‑ops considered).
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Basic understanding of business processes, information systems, or enterprise applications.
- Interest in manufacturing operations and production processes.
- Awareness of data handling and export‑control requirements (e.g., ITAR, CMMC) in a regulated aerospace and defense environment.
Required skills
- Microsoft Office suite – Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Exposure to ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Infor, or equivalents.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, or similar ticketing/ITSM tools.
- Experience with business process mapping and requirements documentation.
- Knowledge of reporting and data analysis tools such as Power BI, SQL, or similar technologies.
