About the role
The Department of Radiology at the University of Miami is seeking a per‑diem Staff Physician to provide high‑quality diagnostic imaging care. This part‑time, temporary‑intermittent position involves direct patient interaction, image interpretation, and collaboration with technical staff.
Key responsibilities
- Interview and treat clinical patients, addressing their medical imaging needs.
- Educate patients and families on wellness, prevention, and early detection.
- Interpret neuroimaging, CT, and MRI studies as required.
- Supervise technical personnel and participate in on‑call radiology schedules.
- Conduct quality‑assurance activities for diagnostic radiology and neuroradiology.
- Provide diagnostic imaging consultations and emergency imaging care.
- Engage in teaching activities related to neuroradiology.
Required profile
- Medical Doctor (M.D.) degree.
- Active physician license.
Required skills
- Neuro imaging interpretation.
- CT scan interpretation.
- MRI interpretation.
- Quality‑assurance in diagnostic radiology.
- Supervision of technical personnel.
- Diagnostic imaging consultation.
- Emergency imaging care.
- Teaching in neuroradiology.
