About the role
The University of Miami seeks a Per Diem Staff Physician specialized in Pulmonary Medicine to provide high‑quality care for critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit. This role involves direct patient assessment, treatment planning, and education on wellness and prevention.
Key responsibilities
- Direct care of critically ill patients in the ICU, including ventilator and life‑support management.
- Formulate treatment plans, order diagnostic studies, and coordinate post‑discharge care.
- Supervise medical services to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with practice protocols.
- Participate in quality assurance, peer review, and departmental research initiatives.
- Maintain accurate documentation and confidentiality of patient information.
Required profile
- MD or DO degree with a valid medical license.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pulmonary Medicine.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology and pulmonary support equipment.
