Per Diem Interventional Radiology Physician (Vascular)

About the role

The University of Miami Health System seeks a Per Diem Staff Physician specialized in Interventional Radiology with a vascular focus. The physician will deliver minimally invasive, image‑guided diagnosis and treatment across multiple UM/JMH locations, including Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, UHealth Tower Hospital, Jackson Memorial Hospital, satellite sites in Plantation and Deerfield Beach, and the Lennar Center in Coral Gables.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret interventional radiology imaging studies and perform a full range of interventional procedures.
• Evaluate patients before and after interventions, providing comprehensive clinical care.
• Supervise technical personnel and ensure adherence to quality‑assurance standards.
• Consult on new referrals, manage follow‑up in the IR clinic, and provide emergency care when needed.
• Offer interventional imaging consultations to other specialties as requested.

Required profile

• Medical degree from an accredited (or foreign‑equivalent) medical school.
• Active Florida medical license (or equivalent).
• American Board of Radiology certification.
• Completion of an ACGME‑approved fellowship in Vascular Interventional Radiology.

Required skills

• Interventional radiology imaging interpretation.
• Performance of image‑guided vascular interventions.
• Quality‑assurance practices in interventional imaging.
