Pediatric Speech Therapist – Outpatient Therapy (Full/Part Time)

About the role

Ochsner Health seeks a Pediatric Speech Therapist to provide outpatient therapy services in Baton Rouge. The role operates autonomously, evaluating patients, developing and adjusting treatment plans, and ensuring high-quality patient experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive speech‑language evaluations and create individualized treatment programs.
• Monitor patient progress, modify plans as needed, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Achieve productivity targets related to access to care, patient experience, and quality metrics.
• Contribute to program development and community outreach initiatives.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology.
• Current state license (or eligibility for licensure) and ASHA CCC certification within two years of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Ability to adapt communication style to diverse pediatric patients and families.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
• Effective verbal and written communication for patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Strong judgment and decision‑making in clinical settings.
