PCU/ED Hold & ICU/PCU RN Night Shift Contract

About the role

AdventHealth in Daytona Beach, Florida is hiring a Registered Nurse for night shifts on a PRN contract covering PCU/ED hold and ICU/PCU units. The schedule is 36 hours per week at $73 per hour, and the position is open to nurses in the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients, analyze assessment data and develop individualized, evidence-based plans of care, then implement interventions safely and document them.
• Collect and document patient health data systematically and on time.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to promote timely patient placement, following hospital policy for admission, discharge and transfer.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, and educate patients and families on their conditions, procedures and care plans.
• Participate in peer interviewing and peer review, and take part in quality, safety and effectiveness initiatives.
• Act as a patient advocate, ensure safe handoffs and follow CDC isolation guidelines, PPE use and hand hygiene.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN).
• 2+ years of nursing experience in an acute hospital setting.
• Associate's degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Fluent in English, read, spoken and written.
• High-level abstract reasoning to assess patients and revise plans of care.
• Basic computer skills, including navigating Microsoft Windows programs.
• RN license and Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required; TNCC certification preferred.
