PC Support Technician – Mobility & IT Support

About the role

The Computing Directorate at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory seeks a PC Support Technician to provide customer service and technical support for the laboratory’s mobility program, including device deployment, troubleshooting, and retirement.

Key responsibilities

• Answer calls, emails, and support requests, providing intermediate technical assistance and documenting incidents.
• Provision, configure, and deploy mobile devices in line with policies, ensuring functionality and proper management.
• Perform computer support services, oversee software updates, and maintain process documentation.
• Serve as point of contact for the mobility loaner program and coordinate international service requests.
• Assist with device operation, property management from acquisition to excess, and perform installations and configurations.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain a DOE Q‑level security clearance.
• Associate’s degree in Computer or Engineering field, or equivalent technical training/experience.
• Experience multitasking in a fast‑paced environment and maintaining accurate records.
• Strong customer service skills, handling inquiries in person or over the phone.
