Payroll Accountant II – Global Business Services

About the role

Boston Scientific is seeking an Accountant II specialized in payroll accounting to join its Global Business Services organization. The role supports multiple legal entities, ensuring accurate month‑end close, journal entries, and financial reporting while operating in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Execute month‑end close processes and act as liaison for supported sites.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, general ledger journal entries, and payroll‑related data.
• Maintain financial accuracy for all supported entities and assist with legal entity closings.
• Identify and implement continuous‑improvement opportunities and standardize processes across entities.
• Build and sustain relationships throughout the organization and communicate accounting procedures.
• Apply GAAP principles, internal controls, and new accounting guidance.
• Partner with external auditors (E&Y) and SOX management to fulfill audit requests.
• Deliver against key performance metrics and service level agreements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant payroll accounting experience.
• Proficiency in English (95%+).
• Experience in a shared‑service environment is preferred.
• Strong communication and customer‑service orientation.
• High attention to detail and ability to work independently.
