About the role

The College of Dentistry at Texas A&M University Health Science Center is seeking a Patient Services Associate I to join the Clinical Affairs department. This on‑site position supports patient flow, scheduling, and record‑keeping in a high‑volume academic health environment.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and check‑in patients, providing courteous front‑desk service.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient calendars.
• Maintain accurate patient records and statistical reports according to established procedures.
• Operate a multi‑line phone system to field calls and direct inquiries.
• Assist with general office duties, including handling paperwork and using standard office equipment.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred.
• At least two years of experience in a general office or customer‑service setting.
• Professional demeanor with strong organizational abilities.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with word‑processing applications.
• Proficiency with spreadsheet applications.
• Experience using a multi‑line telephone system.
