Patient Service Specialist – Carrollton Physical Therapy

About the role

The Patient Service Specialist joins the Cleveland Clinic team at Mercy Hospital Outpatient Rehab in Carrollton, providing front‑line support to patients and visitors. This PRN position works variable shifts, focusing on delivering a "Patients First" experience and ensuring smooth administrative operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform patient registration, insurance verification, co‑pay collection, and schedule appointments.
• Provide estimates for services, identify patients needing financial counseling, and process related insurance registration.
• Assist patients with MyChart enrollment, appointment pass usage, and interpreter service scheduling.
• Maintain accurate confidential patient records and support staff messaging and schedule generation.

Required profile

• High School Diploma/GED with two years of relevant experience, or Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree with corresponding experience.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional customer service and resolve conflicts.

Required skills

• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Proficiency with PC and office equipment, typing at least 30 wpm.
• Ability to navigate patient registration systems and handle insurance processing.
