About the role

Citizens Health is seeking a full‑time Patient Financial Advisor to join its Financial Services department in Colby, Kansas. The role involves assisting patients with financial matters related to their medical care, including billing explanations, insurance verification, and payment plan setup.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients with financial assistance programs and explain medical bills.
• Verify insurance coverage and advocate for patients in billing disputes.
• Set up and manage payment plans and monitor outstanding balances.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1‑2 years of experience in patient financial services, healthcare billing, or insurance verification.
• Strong understanding of HIPAA and related healthcare laws.
• Customer‑service orientation with ability to handle high‑volume patient interactions.

Required skills

• Medical billing knowledge.
