Patient Care Nurse Assistant - Urology

About the role

The Patient Care Nurse Assistant works on the G90 Urology Medical/Surgical Unit at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus, providing post‑operative care for urology patients. The role involves day/night rotation shifts and supports patients in recovery, pain control, and mobility.

Key responsibilities

• Provide or assist with patient care under RN supervision, including vital signs, weight, personal care, and activities of daily living.
• Perform patient transfers, transport, pulse oximetry, point‑of‑care testing, dressing changes, and removal of urinary Foley catheters.
• Report abnormal physical, mental, or emotional findings to an RN.
• Maintain clean and orderly patient rooms.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (must be obtained during new‑hire period if not already held).
• Military experience as a Hospital Corpsman, Combat Medic, or Medical Service Technician considered.
• Preferred: State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification.
