Patient Care Assistant – Full‑Time Veterinary Role

About the role

Join a patient‑first veterinary clinic dedicated to providing compassionate, personalized care for pets. As a full‑time Patient Care Assistant you will keep the clinic organized, support veterinary staff, and ensure a low‑stress environment for animal visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, well‑equipped clinic and prepare exam rooms each morning.
• Restrain and handle patients safely, monitoring behavior and comfort.
• Assist veterinarians and technicians during examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Participate in the clinic’s training program to continuously improve animal care skills.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; at least 1 year of animal handling experience.
• Strong communication and multitasking abilities with a friendly, compassionate demeanor.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 40 lb, and perform frequent walking, climbing, and kneeling.

Required skills

• Basic computer proficiency for record‑keeping and scheduling.
• Ability to read animal behavior and handle various temperaments safely.
• Fluent English; Spanish proficiency is a plus (pay differential available).
