About the role

The University of Miami Health System is expanding its Doral campus and seeks a full‑time Supervisor, Patient Access to lead the front‑end revenue‑cycle and clinic support operations. This on‑site role ensures smooth patient flow and a welcoming environment for a diverse community.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain, confirm, and enter demographic, financial, and clinical information for patient financial clearance.
• Orient, train, evaluate, and monitor registration staff, applying positive reinforcement.
• Ensure staff adherence to established policies and procedures.
• Assist with daily planning, organizing, and scheduling to match expected patient volumes.
• Communicate patient‑flow issues to management and verify insurance details.
• Explain consent for treatment, financial liability, and HIPAA regulations to patients.
• Initiate performance‑management processes for ongoing staff issues.
• Collect outstanding patient balances and run end‑of‑day financial reports.

Required profile

• Experience supervising registration or front‑desk staff in a healthcare setting.
• Ability to anticipate patient volume and monitor workflow efficiency.
• Knowledge of financial clearance and revenue‑cycle processes.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with patients, staff, and management.
