Patient Access Representative – Front Desk (Full‑Time)

About the role

The University of Miami Health System is seeking a Patient Access Representative to be the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and callers at the UHealth Tower. This full‑time, on‑site position provides a welcoming and professional front‑desk experience while supporting the healthcare team.

Key responsibilities

• Greet visitors and direct them to the appropriate destination.
• Answer incoming calls, place outgoing calls, and provide exceptional customer service.
• Respond to general inquiries and forward non‑routine requests to the appropriate staff.
• Perform administrative tasks such as sorting mail, handling faxes, and troubleshooting office equipment.
• Maintain department directories, visitation logs, and a tidy reception area.
• Place orders for department supplies as needed.
• Adhere to university policies and safeguard assets.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant front‑desk or customer‑service experience.
• General knowledge of office procedures and operations.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
