About the role

Nixon Peabody's Intellectual Property Practice Group is hiring a patent prosecution associate to join its San Francisco, Chicago or Washington, DC office; the role can also be done remotely. Candidates need at least four to six years of patent prosecution experience.

Key responsibilities

Drafting patent applications
Prosecuting patents before the USPTO

Required profile

Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or an equivalent field
USPTO admission
Advanced degree and/or industry experience preferred
Strong academic credentials, judgment and communication skills, and a commitment to excellent client service

What we offer

Anticipated annual salary of $275,000-$325,000 depending on location (Chicago, San Francisco, Washington, DC)
Standard benefits package
Possible contingent compensation depending on performance, location, experience, education and qualifications
